A crash course on non-disney films and studios (sequels not included; list is not exhaustive)
This should be standard knowledge for movielovers
It is a pet peeve of mine when people refer to any animated film as Disney. And by “pet peeve” I mean it makes me want to punch them in the face.
Go undercover with Captain America in Marvel Super Heroes: What The—?! [x]
this should be the Deadpool movie imo
Our first attempt at a Swedish fire log was a smashing success.
burns for hours and it looks beautiful.
I have no idea how you make a Swedish fire long
but i have a MIGHTY NEED for a Swedish fire log
Alright, gather around, everyone, and let me explain one of the biggest secrets held in the plotline of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. What, exactly, was the role of the Triforce of Power in the course of the game?
Firstly, a common theory among fans that we must accept here as a given: at the end of Midna’s Desperate Hour, Zelda saves Midna’s life by giving her the Triforce of Wisdom. The Triforce-bearers, including Midna in this case, are able to travel safely between Light and Twilight. I also want to call attention to this line:
This sheds a little bit of light on what exactly happens when the Triforce is transferred from person to person: a mental connection is established. It’s worth mentioning that this line is just after the Triforce of Wisdom is returned to Zelda, and that Midna is still safely in the Light without having any problems (meaning that some of the effects of bearing the Triforce still linger).
Now, on to Zant, starting with his ability to safely travel between Light and Twilight along with the Triforce bearers. Many fans attribute this to the armor he wears, but as we see in this pretty important scene, Zant takes off the facial piece of his helmet.
and when he turns on the lights in Lanayru, he’s still not wearing it:
Clearly, the armor is not the only factor here.
The other major point that we’ve learned to the sharing of the Triforce, the communication between minds, is established in a later line, when Zant tells of his meeting with Ganondorf.
"I shall house my power in you… If there is anything you desire, then I shall desire it, too."
Aside from the obvious implications of housing Ganondorf’s power in Zant, this line indicates a deeper emotional connection between Zant and Ganondorf than we might expect, one that might be caused by the sharing of the Triforce.
Now, you might attribute Ganondorf’s line to his manipulation of Zant, but consider this: Ganondorf was the true master of the Triforce of Power. He could give it to Zant and take it right back at will. Since Zant was his front for much of the game, a distraction to cause as much chaos in the world while Ganondorf took over Hyrule Castle unnoticed, Ganondorf would want Zant to be as effective at his job as possible, and he would not have needed full control of his Triforce except for in specific moments.
In other words, Zant and Ganondorf would have shared the Triforce of Power between them frequently, creating a much stronger empathic bond than what we saw between Zelda and Midna. Strong enough, perhaps, that Zant could do something like
And that is how we know Zant had access to the Triforce of Power.
THAT IS FUCKING TERRIFYING WHY DO PEOPLE FIND THAT BEAUTIFUL?! THERE’S A BIG FUCKING GAPING HOLE IN THE MOTHERFUCKIN OCEAN AND WATER IS DISAPPEARING INTO IT WHERE DOES IT GO?!
*Under The Sea starts playing*
Anyone know where this is?
This is off the Island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean! And actually it’s not really a waterfall, it’s the underwater sediment/minerals and sand that is being swept off the continental shelf into the epipelagic waters by some pretty strong currents, creating a sort of illusion that the water itself is rushing over into a waterfall. It’s a pretty cool illusion though!
There aren’t ever such things as underwater waterfalls or rivers that are just made out of water since water is technically all the same density (besides fresh and saltwater) and the only thing that separates it would be the salinity and/or the thermocline!
But when water is actually mixed with something denser, such as hydrogen sulfide or perhaps salt water crashing with fresh water, it can actually form underwater rivers such as the one in Mexico!
